Hi. Awkward. Hi again.

It's been whut, a good 5 months since I've even ranted virtually. Didn't give myself a chance to do so ever since I deleted my twitter account, and probably blocked myself from the virtual world when I started at Delifrance. It is technically a good thing, because the virtual world? Hell it's a vicious cycle. Anything & everything goes nowadays.

Within the past 5 months of silence, I actually missed how it's like being able to put my thoughts into words. To finally get it off my chest instead of keeping it all instead. Who else can I go to? Friends? Of course I can, & I know that there are people there for me. But it's not like you meet them every day, it's not like you complain to every single little thing from how annoyed you are at your boss to your family to your relationship to yourself and all the other nitty gritty details. That's pretty much a chore for my poor friend's little ear..

So I've been confirmed at Delifrance Singapore, & it's been a good 4 months coming 5. Good doesn't represent how I've been in the company, but I love my colleagues there like Janis, Shah & Jess. They're the ones that probably will keep me in the company. But other than that, it's bye-bye. How time flies, I've been through so much shit than I could ever imagine. I really don't see a point in myself working there anymore, not that I don't like the place. It's just the system whereby I have to adhere to everything France says. Even design-wise, I can't do my own what I wanna design, at the end of the day, I still need their approval & if it ain't approved then I'll have to use their design. So what's the point of me cracking my brains when all I have to do is to listen & follow instructions. I'm probably just paid to change/edit the text, or to incorprate an image to the existing design. But I guess that's the thing about being under a brand, you have to follow closely to their branding & guidelines. The only toughest part is 'cus Delifrance is STILL in a process of re-branding, that only makes it tougher on me. I have to be the one to change EVERYTHING, but change not by my design, by theirs. Well, maybe I don't have to crack my brain a little bit more, but what can I learn? & not forgetting brands like Paul etc are all out in the market, and now we are with the same style as Paul. So won't we look like we're copying & trying too hard to look like those other similar brands out there?

Ah, doesn't really bother me. The only thing that annoys the shit outta me is the part where there are sooooooo many last minute changes. And some changes, which aren't in the least bit necessary, has to be changed. The thing about Delifrance? Being scared, not willing to take a step out and be bold. EVERYTHING has to be put in, ALL the text. We all know how "the more the merrier" makes sense, but when it comes to all these to be places in a design, it's "the lesser the better". & when there is lesser information, the staffs should be well-informed. I don't like Delifrance staff 'cus based on my personal experience of service, their customer service ain't even there.

I know I can go on and go, but I'll cut them some slack & leave this behind me.
Moving on..

Grandma passed away just a few months ago, in December. It wasn't shocking news but it was a very sad affair. Sad to know that our beloved cute & sweet little grandma is gone, and to also know that our Aunts & Uncles (some of them) are not on good terms. I'm sure it will hurt Ah Ma to see them that way. & it always happens after your mum/dad in the family is gone. What else can you argue about other than money? I never wanna end up that way. I know from a 3rd party's point of view, anyone can be politically right. But when we ourselves are in the situation, you won't realise how childish you are till you come to that kinda realization that will take awhile or more so, never. And then when it really becomes reality, and you are just the "little ones" who don't really have a right to speak, you'll feel clueless at what to do, how to salvage something that can't really be saved. Ah... Yup I'm in no position to say anything, this is a sibling-issue that only all the siblings can come together and settle it once and for all.

Shall....... vent it all out later, hopefully, 'cus my eyes won't be able to take a second look at the computer screen once I'm done with work. It's gona be a busy day here at Delifrance!

Once again I'm back, what else is this space for; Ranting, Reminiscing and Appreciating of course. It's been a crazy month, personally.

I've officially graduated from my 1-Year Design Degree Course in RMIT, many things happened I must admit, but it's been a fruitful social experience - to experience making mistakes, to learn from it, and eventually to grow.

I'm also officially gona start my full-time job too, as an in-house graphic designer at Delifrance. Yup, don't say a thing, I know right? Delifrance? But well, experience counts and if I never try, I'll never know. It's been tough job hunting, and I'm pretty tired of looking for a job already 'cus it's really time consuming, depressing and feels like being left on a shelf. So here's to Delifrance, for helping me, allowing me to stop wasting my time and start earning money so I can stop taking allowance and stop depending on people, especially when it's a loved one who's been working his ass off to provide for me as well as for himself. It may not be a high-paying job with marginal benefits, but I hope I'll excel, learn and of course most importantly, have a good working environment. 1st of September, soon much.

On a side note, I've been picking up on church recently. It feels good. I may not be a regular at church or neither am I so holy during mass, but I really feel like it's a good start. True, everyone's a sinner, we will never be pure. I hope I've cut down on being... a bad girl.

My next other happy thing. I've started on Yoga, like diligently. It may just be the Groupon voucher of 5 lessons at Casa Santonsa, but I must say, I really enjoy being there. Probably 70% goes to the instructor, Peggy, she's really nice. Maybe not the best Yoga place since I'm new to this and it's a pretty new company, but feeling good when I go there is already a plus point. I've been talking a lot about Yoga to my friends I think they're pretty irritated, and especially Fred. But Fred loves how I feel happier when I go for Yoga. I can't tell the difference but it's a headstart. "I think you should go sign up for more lessons, yoga really makes you happier" & I must admit, it makes me want to work out more, and keep fit, at the same time, allows me to be at ease, and be in the moment.

I am ( ) this close to getting the package rate at Casa Santosa, but the sad thing is that they don't have Hot Yoga. I've tried Restorative, Hatha & Yin Yoga. They are all pretty good, for now I like Hatha 'cus it's upbeat and gets you on your toes. It really works your body and muscles. Yin Yoga is more slow and steady in a way, it is probably similar to Hatha but you hold your poses longer, and it's more about finding the inner balance. Restorative really relaxes your mind, body and hmm soul? Best for a tiring day, maybe 'cus I didn't have a tiring day, I felt pretty refreshed, but like I just woke up kinda fresh. $298 for 3 months any lessons I wish to go to, worth it? I think at the moment, it's pretty decent 'cus anyway it's a new company so they're probably testing out the crowd first.

4th Round of Hatha on Monday, pretty egg-cited yet scared at the same time 'cus I MIGHT just be the only student for that time slot, I don't really want to do yoga alone, I mean being the only learner there. But I know it's good 'cus I get full attention. HAHA.

Ok. And now the depressing part. Kiki flew away. I can't say that I'm not surprised, neither can I say that it will never happen. It may be a good thing, it may also be a bad thing, but the tormenting part is the fact that you're so attached to something, I won't even call Kiki a thing, and he just disappears from your life. For good. Not knowing if he'll be safe or alive. If he'll know how to find food, get some shelter and keep warm. I may not be the best owner, but I know I really love this bird. It wasn't easy when it started out because I've never kept a lovebird, but when I knew how attached it was to me, I probably closed a blind eye and trusted it to my fullest ability. Of course, my heart will skip double beats when he plays punk and fly to some tree. How I wish whatever that just happened never happened. But I guess that's my part, giving him back to nature.

I don't know how the days will go by, it's already the 3rd day. It has been a cold three days, indeed very depressing on my part because I'm feeling major worried, even until now. & I can't help but cry when I randomly lie in bed and think about it. It really hurts, 2.5years. The first day, probably reality hadn't sunk in yet, I had my hopes high that he would be like my previous bird, he would come back, he would know his way back home. But no...

Fred said he's gona buy me a new bird, but how is that going to be the same? But Yes, it'd be good company for KC though.

I know it's beyond my reach, but I really do hope that that someone up there who's looking down on all of us, will take a split second to look out for dear Kiki. He may just be a minor, but I really do hope he's doing well, at least.

Dilemma dilemma, I hate dilemmas. Advertising? (Which I don't really have interest but I know it's good experience and money, and the free labour today which is supposedly my test/trial seems fine) Everything follows form and function or everything is under somebody to tell you what to do. Or in-house designer at the spa and beauty wellness company? Which I really actually wanna become under a brand and do packaging designs. But prospects and pay might not be so good. The environment is really nice too, and you are in-chardge of your own shit, of course there's someone there but ultimately we make the decisions for the final outcome before it proceeds to the bigger shots.

OH DILEMMA. I hate rejection, and I hate rejecting too.

How time flies, in 4 days time, I'll be graduating. Well, not officially with that long batman cape and trying to throw our hats into the sky but in the end we'll have to pick it up the minute it drops on the ground. But, still. It's pretty scary to know that you're nowhere near being a student anymore.

It's officially a big HELLO to adulthood, no more leisure time, no more youth day, no more school holidays. Every day will be the same pathetic routine of working life. I mean, yes, it's pretty exciting. But for the next 35 years of your life? It actually seems pretty mundane if you think about it. Of course, the only thing that will keep us going is the money, having that spending power to enjoy good food, get some retail therapy and go on holidays!

What I've been trying to do the past week or so.

Failed attempts at getting inspiration, stuck like nobody's business; but finally I don't know how or why, but everything just went into place yesterday night as I was doing.

It's like when I think back, I can just imagine a lightbulb suddenly appearing above my head hahaha.

Speedy recovery love. It was such a scare to receive a call hearing you got into an accident. I could feel my heart literally drop, and I broke down. I was shivering wondering how you were, and anxiously wanting to leave the house immediately and rush to you. I was thinking of the worst, of course bike accidents are never on the safe side. But I was glad to see you conscious and with pure physical injury only.

I guess incidents like this really teach you a lesson, somehow. Or maybe I've realised a thing or two that I was initially going berserk over. All I wanna do right now is to just be by your side, to take care of you till you're better 'cus it really hurts me to see you in so much pain, and it really breaks my heart to see you struggling to get through the day, especially without me around. Sorry love.

I've been confused, I've been searching high and low but I haven't really gotten a chance to sit and reflect. I think about how nice you are to me yet I only know how to give you the cold shoulder. I feel guilty for all the times I throw my tantrum at you, and how I've been treating you. Sometimes it just makes me feel like you're too good for me, and honestly after 2 years, I still feel like I don't deserve you. Maybe in the beginning we were both hopeful, and I admit I feel so happy that you've changed so much for the better, and I know it's because of me. I've said it once, & I know you always tell me that too. I appreciate it, and I love the fact that I have such an ability to help someone so dear to me turn over a new leaf. That actually scares me. The day I leave, or the day we never have this thing called 'together', I'm actually pretty scared you'll turn back to your old ways.

I was looking through our 2-year anniversary photos, I smiled, then I cried. 'Cus I don't know what the hell I'm thinking and feeling. I can't express much here because I want to talk to you directly in person. I don't wanna make whatever decision I have and regret, I don't wanna see you upset 'cus it will also hurt me, definitely. Yesterday night, you sang me a song and told me you love me, I was on the verge of crying so badly.

After landing at 6am in the morning, first Night in Melbourne, Off to Highlander Club!

Day 2, lunch with Geraldine.

Then walking all over Melbourne City by our lovely tour guide bestie, Baosy. Almost every alley is pure graffiti, I love it. I love Melbourne's arty farty culture.

This day was more into sight-seeing.

Went to the beautiful park, which I can't remember exactly where but definitely near the Shrine.

Trying to climb the tree, but I failed so that's my spasm face after Geraldine "lifted" me up. hehe.

Dearest Fredick Wee,

In about an hour time, Happy 2nd Anniversary! I have too many things to say, but it's kinda hard to put everything down 'cus it'll seem like an essay.

I just wanna say how sorry I am for the past few days, especially from the time I've been back. I know you need some form of TLC from not seeing me for the past 3 weeks and you've been on your own. I'm so sorry. I don't know what has gotten into me, I don't know why suddenly I'm like that. I try my best to control but I don't know why it just doesn't work sometimes. And overtime when I make you frustrated, upset or disappointed with my temper, I myself feel guilty and bad. I didn't mean to, but it's also difficult for me to curb that habit. I'm still slowly trying to so please bear with me?

Other than that, I'm actually very excited for our 2-year celebration together. I've been thinking what to get for you since the time I've been in Melbourne. Hmmmm. I hope you like them, it's a whole collection of many different things but ultimately the gifts ain't the most important.

What's most most most important is that I'm gona cook for you! haha. Baked Salmon with thyme and other dressing, asparagus with lemon and olive oil, baked mashed potatoes with ham and cheese, and buttered mushrooms with garlic! I hope you'll enjoy tomorrow as much as I know I will, can't wait for USS :) Can't wait for like finally the whole day out with you.

Yesterday marked the end of one of my most stressful period, packaging project which apparently didn't seem to go the way I want to? I love packaging, really, and I had no idea why I chose to do something with bottles instead of really making something from nothing. And probably I just didn't wanna have to be the same like everyone in class, doing all the typical f&b stuff like pastries or coffee or tea.

Overall, I do love my designs and I can't say they are fantastic 'cus I think they're just average, they're like my style and I can tell that. haha. I don't remember having a particular style in poly. Or maybe actually I still don't. I may have a style of design inspirations but when it comes to business, I think I'm the kind that doesn't have my own style. Not sure. I am still a confused designer hahahaha.

So I'll shut up and here's the final outcome!

Finally, the torment is over! Time to settle on clearing my room since it has been like a pig sty the last few days before submission. And then.... off to work and to start on my new proj!

I am a very confused designer.

Confused designers don't last in the working industry, they get into more dilemmas and become more confused, and they won't be able to make a decision, how to be firm to clients like that? I must stop my bad habit. Too many opinions is not good either. tsk, I thought I settled on my label already, suddenly I got hit my another new comment, a comment that's worth every single mark that's gona be graded on this module but everyone else tells me opposite, so who do I listen to? Or maybe I interpreted the comment wrongly. haha.

But whatever, I'm still happy that I'm done with ALL my labels, and today, I did up my new logo, the colour of the logo anyhow only. I haven't really used purple so.... hahaha. Bold colour, I like. The brown I had initially was a lil too earthy? I don't know. Still thinking, anyway logo colour can be last hehe.

Blogger, blogger oh blogger. Holidays or not, it still feels like I've been filled to the brim. Packed weeks of meetings, projects, work, boyfriend and of course trying to find time here and there for my close friends. Been awhile since I've met some of them, and I really miss those carefree times when everyone didn't give a shit about earning money, school and such.

But as time flies, we can really see how we've grown. For one, I know I've been pretty much self-disciplined. Quite surprised I've been diligently doing work even when it's the holidays & lucky for the hols, I could concentrate more on my projects. Pretty easy juggling both work and schoolwork.

And hello Gossip Girl. I know I've been slow, I don't follow tv trends or whatever but I've been hooked onto it, which is of course bad. 'Cus the minute I get hooked onto something, that's it, I'll just be at it non stop. Haha Ah..... that's the problem with me. If I watch something interesting, I'd never wanna stop, and having to miss an episode, I'll feel like shit sometimes HAHA.

Anyway, back to schoolwork, I'm officially done with my digital work for Art History! Yup, that boring subject with a boring teacher but I managed to entice myself for this project. Deadline's during my Aussie trip but I figured I had to finish this within the holidays so that I can concentrate on the other project that's due on the 8th of April. Packaging. That one's still a mess 'cus I've been making changes till it feels like I'm back to square one... which I think, clearly I am. Ah, Deadlines deadlines.... and then there's DIP (Design in Progress), our graduation show to handle... meetings and such.

Here's a little preview, hehe. and nope, that's it... the rest of my progress is a secret. When I'm done with this set of printing and the making of it then I'll go into the packaging. Only then I will show the final packaging outcome only. lalalalala. enjoy.

Just remembered, another major submission coming up in roughly 2-3 weeks time, which means another round of headache. Plus this time it's group work, so everything gotta work out smoothly, & no hiccups allowed.

Pretty lazy to start on anything again, as usual. But as I think about it, I realize, I'd always be so lazy to start, then in the middle I get so psyched up to see the finishing touches, and tadah, I'm so happy with my final work. That's like a process I think every designer goes through.

Well, hopefully this particular project, Art History, will be the same process. I actually cannot imagine all the scanning, & finding of images to be done, what a torture.

'Nuff about work, just wanna say Happy 1year6months Anniversary baby. One day late, plus I remembered why I took off, hoping to spend the day with you. Hmm, well that didn't turn out the way 'spending the day with you' seemed, but it's all okay. I will always remember how we don't celebrate or acknowledge month-saries, & this is probably the one & only relationship that's the way it is. Good or bad? I still don't know. But the thought of how our 1year wasn't as significant as my other relationship, really saddens me. If you read this, I'm sure you'll start feeling shitty too. But it's probably 'cus of the nature of our relationship that doesn't really show me the need to celebrate or acknowledge anything anymore. 1 year? What's that to me? What's anniversary? It's really, very very sad. I still can't believe....

It's been a while how I've jot down my feelings, inspirations, & pure thoughts. Finally 2 major submissions have been cleared today, & so that's pretty much the hype about today's spirits.

Two typography-hierarchy I did, which of course, I chose the right one 'cus it gave more of an edge to the whole text. As much as typography is like ant fucking (as termed by our melbourne lecturer) & being super duper anal, I still kinda love it.

Culture & Designer Project : Animals aren't ours to wear; Clothing with a Conscience.

This was a pretty last minute project done even though it was given about a month back. Started on Saturday, finished on Sunday night. Tell me about it right? Decided on a poster, with a series of 2 postcards, & a t-shirt design that I forgot to put this particular visual into my final artworks for submission but ah, nevermind.

So this was how it worked out.

These two pictures were majorly photoshoped, haha. I figured I should just search for a perfect-human-skin image before I use my bb's poor naked ass for my project. Ended up just shooting the clothing rack at his place & his dog, which I didn't successfully use it in any way.

Tadah! I thought I would never be able to embed an original metal zip in, but I finally did it with much effort. haha. I ain't a fan of photoshop, & I never thought I could 'conquer' it, but this was a considerably great accomplishment that I couldn't really imagine myself doing. Yup, last minute work but still proud of myself. Maybe the concept isn't very good 'cus I totally didn't consult but whatever, I like it & I'm happy.

Okay 'nuff about work. I love this girl, I promised a picture of our little chillout but it never came, finally got a chance to so tadah!

Photoshoot for Anabelle's blogshop 'cus I promised her. I hope her site will be a success, & frankly speaking, I'm pretty egg-cited for her, she had a business mindset all these while, selling other items online, but to finally see it happening with clothes & such, I'm really proud of her. Own money, own effort, own site. I'll definitely promote for her when her site's up, heehee.

PS Spencer suddenly contacted me again. I think he's rather fishy. First he said to never contact ever or something along those lines, & today he decided to ask how am I & after a long catch-up chat, he asked me to go with him for his Commissioning Ball in January. Weird or whut, gah, guys. They say one thing, then they do another.

Today, I got woken up totally on the wrong side of the bed by my very-terrible-menopausing-syndrome-mother. Oh yes, she has already menopaused by the way, but I guess it still gets to her. After only sleeping for 2hrs, I was toooooooo agitated and pissed to even close my eyes. Tried, but couldn't, had so much on my mind.

Well, breakfast was awesome though, finally settled on my Big Breakfast from Macs craving! The damn bloody egg is so bloody awesome, I don't get it. How does Macs make their food all taste so good & make people come back for more all the time? (Must be some magical ingredient. Like they say, what tastes awesome is usually bad! Haha)

Then after wrestling with Freddy boy like we always do so randomly, met Lynne for lunch at Bugis! Finally, long awaited fish-soup which apparently is super dope (claimed by many, friends or not) at Xin Yuan Ji Fish Head Steamboat. It's pretty good, the soup is really dope, I was fine with the amount of fish they give & I don't know why but I had to order 2 full bowls of rice! Oh gosh, am I turning into a glutton or whut?

For the price of $5.20? I wouldn't really recommend going there unless you're around the area. If not, go to Bukit Timah Market! I can't remember the shop name but go up the stairs, turn right and walk all the way! 2nd row from the back. Think I've mentioned it before, very generous amount of fish for just $3.30 is I remember correctly!

Library after lunch to try & get started with our group project, I wouldn't say it was successful but at least we're trying to make some progress & putting in effort. I kinda dislike my part, 'cus it's in the middle! A ridiculous mix of art movements, tsk.

Then at Starbucks, Lynne was getting a drink. From the start, the cashier had been flirting with us, in a respectful manner. haha & when we were about to collect our drinks he ended with this, "By the way, I think you both are hott!" hahaha, shy leh.

Walked around Plaza Sing, I so wanna do some shopping, but looking at the clothes, & knowing that I can get cheaper elsewhere, tsk, so sad. Plus my pay will be so little this month :<

Suddenly feeling the party vibes while listening to California Gurls, damn. I'm actually quite exciting for the rest of the year, totally can't wait for changes and more changes to come! :}

Renovation of my place, which from what I heard directly from my Dad, my whole room will be renovated too! I thought it was only our pathetic spoilt corroded toilets but I was wrong. I think my eyes were sparkling the minute I heard what he said.

So so so so so damn bloody excited! Finally I can revamp my little kids-play-room. I mean I still love it, retains the childhood in me, but yeah there'll come a time when we all need changes. New furniture, new wall no more wallpaper, I'm gona paint it with some murals hopefully! Gona change the layout definitely, make sure my Mum's stuff are chucked away 'cus 50% of my room belongs to her, feels like it ugh. Cannot wait cannot wait!!!!!!! :}

ZoukOut's coming up! I know this is stupid, but it'll be my first time, plus David Guetta & Tiesto will be around, I'll be going with my babes & Fred, 90% possibility that I'm booking the hotel at Sentosa, Amara. So that's probably why I'm kinda hyped about it! So... for now I've gotta keep working, keep saving, and stop shopping online.

Bad 'cus money depleting. Well, who says I even have money to start with right? Trying to save up as much as possible not heading out.

This is probably the longest update with pure words in a long time but I actually feel good about it, just bursting everything out at one go. And now that I'm so free, I'm actually quite indulged in some self-quality time doing what I do best, clearing my room, fixing up my mind, face, & body.

Tomorrow will be out with Lynne for awhile to NUS, to check out MissyPixie's flea. See, tell me about not spending money? But I'm running out of clothes. How I just wish I can sell some of my clothes/bags/heels for some spendings. Then it's Henry's belated birthday celebration at town.

Saturday's Melissa's 21st on the yacht, apparently only 10 people are allowed, so Fred can't go, which is.... uh kinda sad 'cus he's only booking out on Saturday & I probably won't see him till late at night or something. & Sunday it's back to camp for him, AGAIN.

Monday, Lynne should be staying over till Tuesday? Then we're gona figure out our project! Talking about projects, I've not done shit for the culture one, and yeah our group work too. This is madness, no mood for schoolwork. blah.

Tuesday - Thursday will be work! Then Friday's the little group BBQ at becky's place. Now I'm thinking if I should work on Saturday? I forgot to put it into my schedule, totally mistook this saturday for next & yeah I think I'm getting old. But I'm having some thoughts.... 'cus it's like halloween celebration? Not sure if I've got any plans whatsoever. I'll be working on Sunday though, official Halloween night! HOWHOWHOW To work or not to work on Saturday?

Let's just say I'm pretty lazy to get a job that's further away from home 'cus it's only a part-time job, & I definitely don't wanna waste costs on transportation. Yeah, decided on BLooiE's Roadhouse at Rail Mall, just a 15-minute walk from home, why not right?

The ambience should be quite good, since it's a restaurant-bar? All I smell is wood there, so... that's a plus point for me. haha -.- right.

So here's what I found out, first 3 days are training days so it'll be $3/hr (which is totally cheap labour but when you need a job, you just need to deal with it) Subsequently, it's $6/hr, & based on my work etiquette/attitude, it might go up to $9/hr. I'm doubting the last part, really, but I'm still holding onto some form of hope that it'll be true.

All black, no shorts, no spag top, no flip flops or sandals. Or I can just wear their dress which is actually quite pleasant-looking & so much easier for me since I don't have many black tops or like a decent pants. but I'll opt out for the time being.

Well, hello new job in 6 days time, I hope I'll like it there.

8th Oct, Friday. The day of my official birthday!

Wakeboarding with Freddy boy, Geraldine, Danial Nataporn & Denise behind Pulau Tekong. Supposedly a restricted area, was great great great fun!

All of us, and our individual turns of wakeboarding, was Ger & my first time so it was really mad funny & scary at the same time! Still, I love it! More to come!

Oh it's been awhile since I've updated! The two weeks have been amazingly hectic in a good and bad way. Firstly, 'cus of my birthday celebrations, had quite a number of outings :) & then 'cus of school intensive lecture week, that one was major! & lastly, cus of e.folio & typography submissions.

Did wakeboarding, went to Sentosa Tanjong Beach twice on different occasions to soak up the sun (first time at that beach), and recently I've been heading to the pool for a tan. I've decided for a change, no more white girl, no more being coped up within 4 walls & air con!
